Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Fiction 2024

These are the finalists for the 44th Los Angeles Times Book Prizes in the Fiction category. The awards honor the best works of writing produced in the previous publishing year. Finalists include: Yiyun Li's collection of unnerving stories about everyday life, an alternate history of 20th century Korea, Justin Torres's National Book Award-winning novel, and a book about a mother who must take over her granddaughter's care when her daughter no longer can. The winner will be announced on April 19 on the eve of the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.
