The International Booker Prize 2025
The International Booker Prize, which is the world’s most prestigious prize for world literature translated into English, has just announced this year’s shortlist. This year's honored books include Danish novelist Solvej Balle’s critically acclaimed On the Calculation of Volume, and Heart Lamp by Banu Mushtaq — a striking collection of stories about caste, religion, and the lives of women and girls in southern India, originally published 33 years ago. Note: Two books, There's a Monster Behind the Door by Gaëlle Bélem and Small Boat by Vincent Delecroix, are not currently available in the US.
