The Story Prize: The Three Best Collections of the Year

For 20 years, The Story Prize has honored the best story collection published in the previous year. Past winners have included George Saunders, Elizabeth McCracken, and Lauren Groff. This year, Paul Yoon took home the prize for his collection which evokes the intricacies of immigrant communities in a variety of settings. The judges praised The Hive and the Honey for its "widely varied settings, skillful prose, profundity, and restrained but poignantly evocative tone."
