8 Memoirs About the Asian Diasporic Experience

AuthorAuthor
Growing up in a predominantly white space, I rarely saw myself reflected in the books I read. I struggled to find my place, feeling like an outsider in a world that didn’t seem to have room for stories like mine. It wasn’t until I discovered the works of Asian diasporic writers that I realized I wasn’t alone—that there was a place for me, too. These books explore the search for belonging, the complexities of identity, and the push-pull of being a third-culture kid, caught between our parents’ culture and the world we’re raised in.
