Symposium
PlatoPlato's Symposium does not have the word 'symposium' (συμπόσιον), a 'drinking together.' It does, however, have 'symposiast' (συμπότης). Plato's preferred word in the dialogue to describe the party or gathering at Agathon's house is a 'being together' (συνουσία).
