@mobydickenergy This is so true, Laura Spinney’s amazing book on the 1918 pandemic talks about this. And have you read Pale Horse Pale Rider? One of my favorite pieces of fiction (that wasn’t exactly fiction) ever. Powerful as an earthquake.
