@lucyturnspages Try to take it easy. If u can meditate, do an extra long one. It might help u cope. Not a lot else. 😕 Anti-inflammatories? It may only scratch the surface, but have u tried root turmeric? You have to fry it in oil with black pepper to make it release the active ingredients.

@YuvalKordov I have to recommend the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander. Absolute gold. The clue as to how good this series is: I lapped it up as a kid, and I didn't even particularly like high fantasy!

@SorinaHiggins @EmilyDesigner Thanks! I wanted a spiral design as I'd seen something similar (Scarlett Thomas's The End of Mr Y, which has some really mind-bending ideas in it). A spiral also hints at how a story, when it enters your imagination & even changes the way you think, reverberates off the page.

@distorted_sense I keep coming back to Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials. It's the metaphysical and existential questions that he explores through fantasy, in such a way that the stories are both strikingly original and psychologically true/ real.
