@raf_walk @RohanMaitzen Co-signing on this. I think a lot about how Judith Butler was unclear when she was working out the ideas in Gender Trouble, and she’s gotten way clearer since. If you’re writing that, you can justify abstraction, circumlocution, neologisms. Probably, you’re NOT Butler.

@leahflack There are so many, but I enjoyed Days of Afrkete by Asali Solomon. It's uneven, but very contemporary, and very interesting. The Hours, Michael Cunningham, of course Saturday, Ian McEwan Sula, Toni Morrison There's a Mr. Dalloway in Monica Ali's Brick Lane
