@LVampaa @TheFIREorg The James Bond copyright is owned by Ian Fleming Publications Ltd., which in turn is owned by the Fleming family. So although none of them wrote it, legally, they are the owner of James Bond and can do what they want.

@willshetterly I agree. But the way to prevent that censorship would be to get works like the James Bond novels out of copyright. Nor is it safe to assume that Ian Fleming or other dead authors would actually oppose these changes were they still alive. Maybe they would, but we don't know.

@RottenInDenmark If I had to pick just one, I'd pick "Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution," just because it's my impression that it sold better than the other diet books. But I'd rather say "diet books as a category."

@JackVien @glukianoff So a book burning and the talk was cancelled, but the real victims were the book burners? I'm fine with the students protesting, and they have a free speech right to burn books. But if the novelist were conservative, no one would deny what happened to her was cancel culture.
