Books and comics man. Film and TV too. Stuff for when you're sitting down apparently. Tweets all my own.

Killing Joke: Are You Receiving?
Jyrki 'spider' Hämäläinen
"While superheroes accounted for about 20% of graphic novel sales, the books contributing to that number tended to be reprints of older material and perennial bestsellers, such as Killing Joke, which cracked the top ten for us again this year" https://t.co/aRhWqqiGnw

Maggie: A Girl of the Streets
Stephen Crane
As a Stephen Crane uber fan nothing could surprise me more than this new comic adapting (loose description) his first novella 'Maggie: A Girl of the Streets'. I started writing the book's subtitle as 'Life on the Streets', but was channelling David Simon, not Crane. https://t.co/noRJqYzYD0

Poor Things
Alasdair Gray
Emma Stone does Alasdair Gray's Poor Things. The poster makes this look a lot like Wednesday though. Dark Academia, the book wasn't. https://t.co/Vkt2ZMIvtJ

Champion of Mars
Guy Haley
@niallharrison Gotcha. Champion of Mars by Guy Haley is right on that tip then, but it's 2012, so falls at the first hurdle. Adrian's Final Architecture books maybe?

Miracleman by Gaiman & Buckingham: The Golden Age
Neil Gaiman
I did not expect this to feel so right and of a piece with the Golden Age, given the 30 year gap and my own changes in taste, let alone the creators'. Wonderful Mark Buckingham art. The Golden Age is the best thing Gaiman ever wrote and has some of my favourite art. So, excited. https://t.co/IvNKETPGYr

The Fictional Man
Al Ewing
@tomshaps Has to be Al Ewing, amongst stiff competition. Al's novels, which have travelled under the radar, are blinders, The Fictional Man being a legit masterpiece.

Zenith: Phase One
Grant Morrison
@seanpphillips @ImageComics Lovely. Steve Yeowell's first ep of Zenith was all two-up, but he quickly dropped to 1 1/2 to save his time/deadlines/ink/sanity, which made printing that Apex edition a bit of a challenge.
