Fidel Castro: My Life: A Spoken Autobiography
Ignacio Ramonet
@emmcgoobz These are all new for me, haven't listened yet, but did just start Darker Nations & it's great. Parenti's Blackshirts & Reds just got added & it's great too. End of Myth, Jakarta Method, Hammer and Hoe, and Fidel Castro's My Life have been my faves recently.

Imperialism the Highest Stage of Capitalism
Vladimir Lenin Ilich
@smthintresting Lenin's other book I've read is Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism, which is a bit more detailed but also good. But I think State & Revolution is a better starting point. And if you want to read about the Revolution itself, 10 Days that Shook the World is awesome.

Sowing Crisis: The Cold War and American Dominance in the Middle East
Rashid Khalidi
Rashid Khalidi makes this argument in his book Sowing Crisis about the middle east. That the cold war was more about powers fighting for hegemony, influence, resources etc than ideology. He presents as evidence for this the fact that we are still fighting capitalist Russia. https://t.co/SGHsUZGN9z

U.S. Climate Finance: Yemen
U. S. Department of State

Cuba: An American History
Ada Ferrer
Ada Ferrer is the only Cuba scholar based in the US that I've read who successfully balances criticism with praise and has a relatively unbiased analysis. Everyone else seems like this moron.

Lenin
Lars T. Lih
@smthintresting If you just want to learn about Marxism-Leninism I can't recommend State & Revolution enough. I don't read much "theory" but Lenin is extremely fun to read. And I haven't read these yet but Lars Lih wrote some stuff on Lenin that people I trust also like.
