Denial
Jon Raymond
My latest for @orartswatch is a Q&A with screenwriter/novelist Jon Raymond about his new book, Denial. We also discussed his movies with director Kelly Reichardt (First Cow, Old Joy, Meek's Cutoff, Wendy & Lucy), and how landscape inspires his narratives. https://t.co/klghjG1AVH https://t.co/OWRVVpqqlz

The Rings of Saturn
W. G. Sebald
A digitally-transcribed interview I've been going through erred by referring to W.G. Sebald's The Rings of Saturn (a personal favorite) as The Rings of Saturday, and I like that accidental phrase too. Arguably, the other six days revolve around that one day, especially in fall.

Infernal Affairs: A Divine Comedy of Errors
Mike Macdee
Watched two excellent, different films this week. Highly recommend both. Chris Marker's 1982 "Sans Soleil" (which is on the Sight & Sound list), is an esoteric, poetic travelogue. 2002's "Infernal Affairs" is easily superior to Scorsese's Oscar-winning remake, "The Departed." https://t.co/PBpMML19IQ
