I’m jealous that Rainbow Rowell wrote [this book] back in 2013 because I would’ve loved to write that exact book. The fic community is so cool because there are people who can write full novels based on someone else’s IP and then they’re, like, a professor or an EMT in real life.

also not to be annoying but everyone should read Sarah Polley's book, she talks a lot about being a child actor and lack of protections for her on set, but also her relationship with writing (and she talks a little about Women Talking!)

@sam_aye_ahm Oh god, I really love Renee Watson's contemporaries like Piecing Me Together. I like that they're so infused with Black culture and they aren't about people dying or getting beat up by cops (not bad, just a lot lol) and they give us time with the characters
