Reading george Saunders, a swim in a pool in the rain and it’s properly good: an extraordinary close reading of 5 Russian stories looking at the craft. you get a chance to read 5/6 outstanding stories and then enter really deeply into it with Saunders. V good

one of Britain’s geniuses is Children’s lit- has any country created more iconic kids characters? From peppa pig (ok cartoon to books) to Harry Potter to paddington bear to Julia Donaldson. It’s true USA can make global hits like dogman but uk still beats USA esp for younger kids
