@BtSquared2 Idk if I can “recommend” this read to everyone because it was tough for me to get through but truly life changing - Zora Neale Hurston’s Barracoon, where she interviews Cudjoe Lewis. I think you alluded to his descendants earlier, who still live near Africa City in Mobile.
