@Stradex8 @BUCats I was pretty mad about a lot of stuff when I was younger myself.Those strong emotions have energy (“Anger is an Energy” I believe is a book title by John Lydon).That energy can propel you towards a goal,give a purpose to your actions…motivate you. Like propulsion for a rocket.

@NickWurthmann @dcsandbrook @holland_tom Well they certainly would’ve given him a very hard time. It would depend on the terrain and how long the Romans had sitting in the same spot to start building defenses. But what @holland_tom said about Parthians applies (x3) to what Mongols would have done.

@florisdidden @HarryPotgieter3 Probably not. But we shouldn't confuse that geo-political choice being closed off to them with throwing up their hands and giving up. "There's more than one way to skin a cat". National interests are national interests. They often outlive rulers and governments.
