Re: erasure poetry (I’m not inclined to QT someone who says “fight me” lol) my first thought was M. NourbeSe Philip’s Zong! How erasure there is an act of excavation, of reclamation, of justice. Nobody’s silly opinion can take that kind of power away. Do erasure if you want to.

I used to be a one-book-at-a-time reader. Now I’m reading Jeanna Kadlec’s Heretic, Brian Christian’s The Alignment Problem, Amal el-Mohtar’s This is How You Lose the Time War, and José Olivarez’s Promises of Gold all at the same time. Anyone else change like this?? 😅

@mlekoday Neil Gaiman edited a fantastic collection of short stories called Unnatural Creatures— lots of great options in there, like Nnedi Okorafor’s Ozioma the Wicked. I know it’s not poems but is a good resource for that age group!

In-group solidarity against a hostile out-group is an important feature of how this stuff works. Anyway, if you’re looking for more, I just finished & really enjoyed Jeanna Kadlec’s Heretic. It’s a great look into the world of more “mainstream” ev culture.
