Rebecca
Daphne du MaurierPick: 'Rebecca' is on @TalkingPicsTV at 1500. Perhaps the quintessential Gothic Romance film; reportedly this was one of only two film adaptations of her work that Daphne du Maurier liked (the other was apparently Nicolas Roeg's film of Don't Look Now). https://t.co/pxy8sK0bMf

Tales of Beatrix Potter
Beatrix PotterTomorrow's pick: 'Tales of Beatrix Potter' is on @TalkingPicsTV at 0750. A selection of Potter stories in ballet form; they're told simply and cleanly and feature some exquisite production design. https://t.co/Ht1amuVZ9O

Matilda
Roald DahlPick: 'Matilda' is on ITV2 at 1700. Danny DeVito's adaptation of the last Roald Dahl novel that anyone cares about (maybe) is perhaps one of the best films of his work… the decision to play both the narrator AND her abusive father is an odd choice though. https://t.co/faR0n36hvt

The Millstone
Margaret DrabblePick: 'A Touch of Love' is on @LondonLive at 2100. One of Amicus' attempts to expand beyond horror films, it's a well done adaptation of Margaret Drabble's 'The Millstone', penned by Drabble herself, and I think in some ways that it improves on the novel.
