Another great vegetable book that’s coming out in the autumn. I think this is phenomenal…I cannot wait to cook from this and to read it more closely (I got an early copy so I have already been able to spend time with it). It's such a special book, both ‘complete’ and inspiring.

I only intended to read a little then go to bed but I read the whole thing then let the manuscript fall onto the floor. When I woke up I felt cheated - I missed Caroline’s voice...I adored this book. It’s so honest. If you would like an enriching weekend of reading, I’d get a copy.

My favourite cookbooks of the year: @kitchenbee The Secret of Cooking. It’s like a long conversation with a close food-loving friend. The cooking, eating and reading of a lifetime have gone into this book. Already a classic.

I think this is @we_are_food best book, at least it’s the one I want to cook out of most...Lemony chickpeas with halloumi, seeds and honey; cheese and pickle roast potatoes; black bean nasi goreng... It triumphs because of its limits.

Greek-ish feels like a greatest hits album with the addition of twists and takes and riffs on some well known dishes...It is so useable: tahini, date and chocolate spread for yoghurt flatbreads; sticky aubergine, pomegranate and herb tart; lamb shanks with preserved lemons, saffron and dill.

...a perfect Christmas book, both to cook from and to read. Author Anja Dunk hasn’t just written and photographed it she’s also done the gorgeous linocuts. They give the book a lovely solid simple beauty. You can feel snow on these pages.

Only this, Anne Enright’s new novel, for the rest of the day... She is very good on Ireland and how much it has changed in the last 20 years and on messy families. Messy families and bad marriages are two of my favourite things. Enright is ruthless on both.
