Or Margarita Engle's beautiful picture book DRUM DREAM GIRL about a a Chinese-African-Cuban girl who broke Cuba's taboo against female drummers. Banned in Texas for, well to be honest, I'm really not sure of their stated reason. But we all know the real one.
