I love it because it explores how it’s okay to be sad at times and I think helps children (and grown ups) recognise & explore this feeling. Grandad’s Island by @Benji_Davies is a lovely story that explores death/loss.

@melissacreate15 @KatakusM @RobertMuchamore @laughinglibby I think for him it has to be something that actually happened, even if there’s some artistic licence. He likes Boy by Roald Dahl for two main reasons: the events happened and there are some gruesome, dramatic events.
