@chalkrbooks Definitely worth reading! He was Charles Dickens’s BFF and his work was serialized in Dickens’s journals. He was also friends with William Holman Hunt & the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. He had a hard time though because he had gout which lead to an laudanum/opium addiction.

@LACarlos Yes, I did read Drood & enjoyed it very much! Was already a huge Wilkie fan as well as a big fan of Dan Simmons’s The Terror. Guillermo del Toro wants to make an adaptation of Drood, so fingers crossed!

@rej_dc I highly recommend Wilkie Collins! “The Moonstone” and “The Woman in White” are his most famous & they’re wonderful. But my favorites are “Armadale,” “Man and Wife,” & “Poor Miss Finch” among others.
