@MoiraDonegan @bimbomarxistt One of the most haunting books I’ve ever read is Ann Rule’s Every Breath You Take. The victim at the center of it told her sister she knew her ex husband would murder her some day, and when it happened she wanted Rule to write a book about her story. Like, Jesus fucking Christ

@lindleyashline Yeeeep. Especially since thinness was a big part of defining racial hierarchy and eugenics arguments at the turn of the 19th century. Fearing the Black Body: The Racial Origins of Fat Phobia taught me so much about the fucked up history behind how much society hates fat folks.
