What It Means to Be Human: The Case for the Body in Public Bioethics
O. Carter Snead
I have a lot of books on my summer reading list. Here is one I'm reading now, which I've been meaning to read since its publication in 2020, from my colleague @cartersnead: What It Means to Be Human: The Case for the Body in Public Bioethics.

Lives of the Stoics: The Art of Living from Zeno to Marcus Aurelius
Ryan Holiday
Continuing with #SummerReading: Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman's Lives of the Stoics. Among other things, I learned a new word: philoponia, or "love of work," which they associate with Cleanthes. https://t.co/GukQb0NYGV

Leviathan: (Original Edition)
T. Hobbes
@morallawwithin @ShalMarriott Hume’s histories are absolutely delightful. Well worth the time. FWIW, not sure I’d dedicate the time to Heidegger. A book I’d recommend reading all of is Hobbes’s Leviathan. We tend to focus on only a few parts of it, but reading the whole book gives a rich new perspective.
