@brenthodge Breaking this down takes intentional study of every prooftext. I was raised in it. One section won’t do it. I recommend Biblical Womanhood by Philip Payne, Rediscovering Scripture’s Vision for Women by Lucy Peppiatt, then The Making of Biblical Womanhood by Barr. Bible in hand

Followed it. Pressed into it. Silenced with it. I read Watchman Nee’s “Spiritual Authority” several times. Taught it. It’s just not NT.
