Less Than Zero
Bret Easton EllisWhatever you think of Bret Easton Ellis, it's a testament to his talent that he published Less Than Zero so young, became so insanely famous, and still went on to write American Psycho and Glamorama, two very serious, very literary novels. I would've been dead in a year.

Running Dog
Don DelilloSpent most of yesterday afternoon sick in bed so I finally got to listen. Very fun episode. Suggestions for future entries and authors other than Pynchon: Running Dog by DeLillo and Hall of Mirrors by Stone. https://t.co/LD8DRL2ttv

Energy: A Human History
Richard Rhodes@catsonthecar I started reading The Making of the Atomic Bomb by Richard Rhodes and he does a great job of showing just how far back the idea of "energy released by fission" originated in the opening chapters. Like all the way back in the late 1800s.

The Shards
Bret Easton EllisJust finished The Shards by Bret Easton Ellis. It's full of sex and violence and drugs and rich brats and creepy adults and painted over with that dark California mood. Drags a little in the middle but so do most of his novels. I'm glad Ellis hasn't given up on fiction.

New York 2140
Kim Stanley Robinson@borgposting Ever read New York 2140 by Kim Stanley Robinson? His descriptions of "Post-Pulse" NYC (flooded boulevards, abandoned apartment buildings run by tenant unions, ect.) are begging for artistic renditions like the stuff you post...

The Overstory
Richard PowersThink I can finish this monster *and* The Overstory by Richard Powers (promised a good friend we'd read it at the same time) by the end of February? https://t.co/Vt6bUxTnAY

Mr. Robot: Red Wheelbarrow: (Eps1.91_redwheelbarr0w.Txt) [With Removable Artifacts]
Sam Esmail@zeroanaphora Don't get me wrong: I'd love an eco-guerilla show that's well written and well shot. But until then, Mr Robot is probably about as radical as we'll. Plus, politics aside, it seems like Sam Esmail really wanted to keep the audience engaged...

JFK: The Book of the Film
Oliver StoneThe Oliver Stone interview is cool but the 2nd half of the show with @Aaron_Good_ was one of the better discussions on why the JFK assassination, and Watergate, were the last real moments of pushback against the imperial form by the executive branch. https://t.co/fO3ili0T8h
