@bethallisonbarr Well when you DO come up for air, I'm reading a great book called "The House of the Mother" by Cynthia Chapman.. if you haven't read it already. Goes directly to all those patriarchal assumptions. Very eye opening.

/2...had ordered the Matt Walsh book with poly sci funds "church of cowards" (that had the tag "proselytization" in Gobi). I responded with the order screenshot & "Matt Walsh doesn't have a college degree" and then added "oh good point, I'll ask our sociology librarian instead."

I love rewatching everything through the lens of learning social science theories. "Stephen Bishop was so selfish, so secretive" - mother fucker, he was an ethnographer (time walker hello?). His data was his world. Fight me. @DebHarkness

@SeanPDailey2 It's a book by Peter Enns. But it's an early book of his... inspiration and incarnation.

@mzpresser It's by a protestant but highly recommend the book The Sin of Certainty by Peter Enns. It's one of the rare books that really shifted some perspectives for me.
