In better news, I've been reading Yoon Ha Lee's book Phoenix Extravagant and it's such an engrossing fantasy novel about a Korean nonbinary artist in a Korean inspired fantasy world who ends up teaming up with an automaton dragon 🤩

Tearing up thinking about Nikki Grimes' raw & resilient memoir in verse Ordinary Hazards, which I just finished. And the books she would write after surviving so much pain, including Bronx Masquerade & Legacy, both of which impacted me at different ages.

Last RT woot we got an adaptation of a Kwame Alexander book y'all! I read The Crossover some years ago and loved the powerful bonds shown between the brothers & father & sons. Looking forward to watching the series.
