E. M. Forster was born #OTD in 1879. At New Year 1923 - a century ago - his friend Henry Festing Jones gave him this copy of his book on his Italian travels, now on my shelves. Jones was a close friend of the novelist Samuel Butler, who in turn influenced Forster. (1/3). https://t.co/vdZ8jf0L8z
