@namioshiro They’re all terrible people. I really enjoyed Nghi Vo’s The Chosen and the Beautiful, which retells the story from the POV of Jordan Baker…but in this version she’s bisexual, a Vietnamese adoptee, and also magic is real and Gatsby has made a deal with actual demons

Just watched The Wonder. Having loved the novel (by Emma Donoghue) and being a fan of Florence Pugh I was excited to watch it…and it was great. Really, excellent all around, but especially the acting.

I can’t access the article due to the paywall, but the book appears to be Flamer, a graphic novel by Mike Curato. I haven’t read that either, but by the synopsis, what it’s about is a gay kid dealing with homophobic bullying. Which makes the whole thing just…poignant. Painful. https://t.co/VubXz2nYWb

@NoHumanzA Like Margaret Atwood currently gets a lot of shit for the Handmaid’s Tale being essentially “shit that’s been done to BIPOC women, now enacted on white women”, and that’s a valid critique. But it’s also explicitly why she did it—to make white readers care
