You've never really read a book like @ConnerHabib's HAWK MOUNTAIN. At times I was reminded a little of Stewart O'Nan's A PRAYER FOR THE DYING or Cormac McCarthy's CHILD OF GOD. But it's also something entirely its own. Plus it's got one all-timer of an Act Two break. Goddamn.

JUST LIKE MOTHER by @AnneHeltzel is an absolute masterclass in dread. From its deeply unnerving opening through its gripping escalation of tensions and shifting truths, it's the kind of book where everything feels wrong in all the right ways. You're gonna want to read this one.

@StephenKing @ramseycampbell1 (And if you DO like NESTLINGS, then I highly suggest you check out Campbell's own take on vampires, called THIRTEEN DAYS BY SUNSET BEACH, which is somehow like a quiet-horror WHITE LOTUS, if you can believe it. It's a real treat.)
