Son and I are going through Gregory McDonald's Fletch books on audio in order of release. At their best, they are fine books... but we just went through two (Fletch And The Man Who, Carioca Fletch) where McDonald seemed to forget that Fletch is a trickster. Less good.

Just enjoyed #ConfessFletch, @gregmottola's updating of the novel. He kept the bones of the novel, brought it to the current moment, and added humor by making some characters a bit more wacky, but not outside the range of the source. The music is good. @SASfurrowedBrow as much as I enjoy & respect the work of both Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, I'm burned out on the "if superheroes existed, they'd be horrible" take, so The Boys isn't for me (but I'm glad it's there for the people who like it!)
