Just finished The Dawnhounds by @understatesmen and hooo boy, that book whips ass. Highly recommended, especially to fans of Disco Elysium, Embassytown, and the world of @jeffvandermeer's Finch. But really, it's its own, glorious thing.

@neonhemlock I'd say quite a lot of Philippine horror tends towards the gothic-- 300+ years of colonization leaves a haunting and a crumbling structure on just about every street corner. ALSO I'M FULLY OBSESSED WITH TANA FRENCH and samesies, The Likeness is an all-time fave.
