@john_self @KirkdaleBooks The question ‘Where shall I start?’ is likely to be answered as if it had been ‘Which is the best?’ The only John Banville novels I’ve read are Nightspawn & The Sea. The latter won the Booker & most would say it’s better than the former, but I found Nightspawn more interesting.

@choppernick1 Hi Nick @picadorbooks have reissued Jamaica Kincaid’s backlist. She is a wonderful writer. I’d particularly recommend the short story collection, At the Bottom of the River, & two novels, Lucy & Annie John. V pleased you liked Mystery Story and Pharricide ☺️
