@nelliewritesYA Ben Clanton's Narwhal and Jelly series. It's a graphic novel format, the dialogue is pretty easy but the stories are interspersed with long, more difficult pages of facts about marine animals so if she enjoys the story she may be encouraged in reading the harder buts as well!
