My work computer gave me a lovely BSOD when I got home from rehearsal. Thankfully, it seems I did remember to save everything before I left earlier. Also, thankfully, it seems to be working alright now so I can get the homework docs off of it that I never saved to a cloud.

157 days. 5 full months with prep work in October and 6 days in April. 34 Chapters + Epilogue 91,307 words The first time I've finished a complete novel draft since...2014? Or 2015? Either way, it's been A LONG TIME.

@sjhoodlet This is Anne Bonny (usually called Annie). Her brothers are the grey tabby and house panther (Captain Morgan and Sir Francis). They came with the pirate names. We adopted them together as a bonded trio in 2020! They all turned out to be quite pretty adults.

@Draconis_1533 It’s not even a new book. It’s from like 2009! It’s Patient Zero by Jonathan Maberry. It’s kind of dated, honestly, being from 2009. It’s a military thriller, and references things like 9/11 and Bin Laden a lot. But it’s the first of ten books in the series.

I don’t know what algorithms Facebook has come up with this time, but it recommended that I send a friend request to Jim Butcher as someone I may know. Yes, The Dresden Files author. 😂 That would be cool and all, and we do have ONE mutual friend, but that’s a bit of a reach.

@TheCleftonTwain I have been dreading this damn field trip since I found out about it. It’s bad enough keeping up with kids in a school building. The anxiety of trying to keep up with a 6 year old at the zoo is not something I need in my life. Plus, zoo + kids on a bus + heat = meh.
