I first met @robwhart at a Noir At the Bar in Washington DC where he read a wonderfully dark story called "I Am Pretty Princess ". I was a huge fan of his Ash McKenna series and he kindly signed my copy of New Yorked and gave me some good advice that I ignored to my own detriment

Finished CROSSROADS by Jonathan Franzen. I don't think anyone can deny that Franzen is a wordsmith. His prose is prickly and alive and uncomfortable in the best way possible... I think this book is less about each individual character than a mindset that Franzen is examining
