Jean-Luc Godard was committed to an anti-capitalist/anti-Hollywood mode of cinema: making films & telling stories that were revolutionary in content & format. I often disliked the emotionlessness of his movies, but I love what he was trying to do (& sometimes succeeded at). RIP.
