WHEN THE ANGELS LEFT THE OLD COUNTRY by @mosslamb is such a delightful, cozy read for a cold night. Although it’s really no surprise that I was gonna love a queer Jewish coming-to-America story that’s like GOOD OMENS meets YENTL.

The main character is very unlikable and flawed in many ways and that felt like a breath of fresh air...it is a powerful expose of the isolation, the loneliness, the shallow materialism of US culture, and it's just delightfully bizarre. And I can't wait to see more from this author.
