I just finished Deanna Raybourn's Killers of a Certain Age about 4 female assassins who go on a retirement cruise, only to find out it's a job -- and they're the targets. Fun and fast-paced (and only mildly descriptive) read for thriller and mystery fans. #BrownBagDC

Also, I adored Thistlefoot by GennaRose Nethercott. The 20-something Yaga siblings receive an inheritance from a long-dead Ukranian great-great-grandmother, a house on chicken legs. It is beautifully written & explores heritage, being a witness, & what makes us human. #BrownBagDC

Finished listening to Suzanne Park's The Christmas Clash. Despite the title, this isn't really a holiday story, so you could borrow this cute book about 1st/2nd gen Chinese- & Korean-American teens working to save the TN mall where their parents own restaurants now. #boutofbooks
