THRILLED for Rhiannon Giddens and Michael Abels (I adore her) but I guess now I really should read Demon Copperhead, which is odd, because the reviews I'd read really didn't spark my fire.

Fairly sure the book I (think I) liked best published in 2022 isn't on anyone else's round ups: Laird Hunt's Zorrie. Also liked Elif Batsman's Either/Or v much. And Fight Club, by Miriam Toews, was a blast. Would also recommend Charlotte Mendelson's The Exhibitionist. FYI.
