@booshabear I also just finished Catch and Kill (was it not intense?) - I'd recommend She Said by Jodi Kantor for another angle on the same story, or Bad Blood by John Carreyrou for another intense NF book that reads like a thriller. #AskALibrarian

@torontolibrary I loved loved loved Fleishman is in Trouble by Taffy Brodesser-Akner (https://t.co/aX2AyPhq0F) - the kind of book where you find yourself grinning like a maniac with your eyebrows disappearing into your scalp as you read. #TOpicks

@vein_of_silver Fever Dream by Samanta Schweblin is good, spooky, surreal. The Famished Road by Ben Okri is only a little bit about dreams, but the ending is all about them and includes the most heartbreaking line. Haruki Murakami's Kafka on the Shore has some good stuff about dreams.

@pamryan If she wants fun, sweet and fast-moving, but isn't in the mood for *too* much sentiment(?) I'd recommend Maria Semple - Today Will Be Different or Where'd You Go, Bernadette? (Not if there's surgery involved, though - there are laugh-out-loud moments that could hurt.)
