@WhatAHeartache @1pcornwell I've been reading prose novels since I was in my mid-single-digits of age, but there were two at the very beginning that set my hunger upon reading: C.S. Lewis' 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe', in my primary school library, and my brothers' Unwin copy of the 'The Hobbit'.

I have never read Vonda N. McIntyre's novelization of Star Trek III: The Search For Spock and of all the TOS theatre films I am the least familiar with by watching and minutia of plot; nevertheless I have strongly felt that David and Saavik held center stage frequently therein.

@werewolftale @Grimasaur @AeresChronicles I've been a fan of Mr. Whelan's work for a very long time, going back to the painted covers for Isaac Asimov's Foundation series in the 1980s when its 4th book, Foundation's Edge (and later on in the 90s, Foundation and Earth) were published. His style stands out vibrantly to me.

@Lots47 I know the basic overall theme and time period is film noir, detective adventure and mystery, crime stuffs, but John Blacksad's story reads to me like a kind of philosophical beat poetry beneath the surface, like William Gibson's 'Neuromancer' does shorn of the chrome and tech.

@spotted_menace 1) I haven't watched the movie in whole yet; I very much plan to, as what I've seen impressed me given Black Adam's limited role in DC Comics as a semi-antihero character foil- and competitor for the power of Shazam!, if my memory serves- for Captain Marvel for decades.
