#MGBookChat Q1: I liked The Fort by Gordon Korman and Chirp by Kate Messner. Both deal with big issues in an appropriate way for middle graders.

In The Fort by Gordon Korman there is a storyline of abuse, and the characters have to deal with speaking out. I think many moral dilemmas can be addressed appropriately in mg lit. #MGBookChat
