So in the mornings I've been reading Matt Bell's climate fiction powerhouse APPLESEED, and at night I'm reading JB MacKinnon's nonfictional gutpunch on consumerism and the environment THE DAY THE WORLD STOPS SHOPPING, and the combo is really boiling my blood.

Took an extra-long lunch break to finish reading Stephen King's FAIRY TALE. This book fits a lock inside my heart, (probably because the lock is made out of the same materials Stephen King built his book out of). Behind that lock is a little kid who loves stories like air.

@outseide Oooh, that's so cool! The site is down for the moment, but I can't wait to check it out. In 2020, I read Stephen Arno's terrific "Northwest trees : identifying and understanding the region's native trees" -- so good, but kind of a LOT. I need to re-read!

This morning I finished reading THE FACEMAKER by Lindsey Fitzharris (so glad @BBolander recommended it!). I learned 2 things from the book: 1) WWI was EVER MORE DISGUSTING than I thought. 2) Plastic surgery is so weird and cool!
