About the Author

Beth Kanter's books and articles help visitors and locals alike experience the tastes, sights, and unique feel of the nation's capital. Beth has written four books about her favorite city including Day Trips from Washington DC, Washington DC Chef's Table, Food Lovers' Guide to Washington DC, and Great Food Finds Washington, DC. Her essays and articles have appeared in national newspapers, magazines, and online. Beth has an MSJ from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism and teaches writing workshops. Emily Pearl Goodstein is a digital strategy consultant, sheet cake enthusiast, photographer, and rabble rouser from Washington, DC. She loves oversharing on social media--follow along at @emilygoodstein for restaurant suggestions and other insider info. This is Emily's third book about her hometown in collaboration with Beth Kanter.
