The 2024 L.A. Times Book Prize for Science & Technology
These are the finalists for the 44th Los Angeles Times Book Prizes in the category of Science and Technology. The awards honor the best works of writing produced in the previous publishing year across 13 categories. Finalists for Science & Technology writing include: an enthralling exploration of humanity's endless fascination with alien life and Jeff Goodell's explanation of how and why extreme heat brought by climate change will radically reshape our lives. The winner will be announced on April 19 on the eve of the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.
