Sorry, to clarify: Buffett has talked about moats for decades, but it’s only with Hamilton Helmer’s 7 Powers that I think knowledge of moats has seeped into mainstream startup thinking. i.e. You have two challenges: 1) find PMF, and then 2) find a moat, and ideally together.

@geoffreylitt For what it’s worth, I got a huge amount out of working my way through Marcella Hazan’s Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking over the course of a year, while reading Salt Fat Acid Heat on the side. I also gained a lot of weight that year.
