My Priest knows I like to read and got excited about a book he wanted to recommend. He rushed off to grab it. I assumed it would be Christian/religious/theological. It was Master and Commander by Patrick O'Brian.

I also finished The Pussy by Delicious Tacos recently. It is (I am entirely serious) the funniest book I've ever read. I *actually* laughed out loud and had to put it down to *audibly* laugh multiple times.

@MorlockP The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford does this perfectly. The big action has all passed, and you're now following 'protagonists' stripped of anything which makes them so.
