Learning Kelly Link's debut novel The Book of Love is 226,000 words long puts it at the top of my can't-wait-to-read list. When a writer dedicated to short stories, each a precious gem, finds an idea they feel worthy of that many words, I have faith it will be something special.

Sent off the manuscript of a short story collection for consideration by a publisher. If accepted, it would be my first devoted solely to science fiction since 2010's What We Still Talk About. Choosing the best order for the dozen stories was almost as hard as writing them!
